Play nicely, keep your account safe, and only send drawings and messages you would be happy for everyone to see. Things you buy in our games (coins, gems, paint coins, No Ads, skins) are for use in that game. They are not money and cannot be cashed out. You can get refunds as the law and our Refunds page say. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any purchase. If a game ever closes, we tell you at least 60 days before. If something goes wrong, write to us first: [email protected]. Israeli law applies, and nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Banana Bolt ("we", "us") is a small independent game studio in Israel. The business is owned by Daniel Nahman Levi (operating as Banana Bolt), 89 Derech Ramatayim, Hod HaSharon, Israel. Email: [email protected]. Website: bananabolt.xyz.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to our games (Gorilla Rush, Twistbloom, Wagon Run, Doodle Hunt and any other game we publish), to BananaBolt ID (our player account), to our leaderboards and to our website. Together we call them the "Services". Some games show extra rules inside the game. If they differ from these terms, the game's own rules apply to that game.
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy and in each game's privacy page. If you got a game from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms add to it. Apple is not responsible for our games or these terms.
By playing or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
3. Age, parents and guardians
- If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Your parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you and is responsible for your use.
- Children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in their country, which in parts of Europe is up to 16) may not create a BananaBolt ID, send drawings, or chat, unless the game asks for and gets a parent's consent. They can still play the parts of our games that need no account.
- Purchases by anyone under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission. We recommend that parents turn on purchase approval: Google Play "Require authentication for purchases" and Family Link, or Apple "Ask to Buy". If a child bought something without permission, the parent can contact us or the store and we will help (see Refunds).
- If we learn that a child under 13 created an account without a parent's consent, we will delete the account and its data.
4. Accounts (BananaBolt ID)
- Use an email address that belongs to you or to your parent. We use it only to identify your account and to help you. We do not send marketing email.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens in your account if you share it.
- One person per account. Do not sell, trade or give away accounts.
- Usernames must follow the content rules in section 9. We may change or remove a username that breaks them.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the game or on the Delete your BananaBolt ID page at bananabolt.xyz.
5. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your own non-commercial fun, in line with these terms. The games, their art, music, code, characters, names and logos belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may share screenshots and videos of your play (for example on YouTube or TikTok), as long as you do not suggest that we sponsor or endorse you.
6. Virtual items and in-game currency
Our games have in-game currencies and items. Examples: bananas and gems (Gorilla Rush), tickets and gold coins (Wagon Run), paint coins, skins and drawing slots (Doodle Hunt), skins and hints (Twistbloom).
- They are not money. They have no value outside the game. They cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services, and are not paid back in cash except as the law or our Refunds page says. When you buy or earn them, you get a licence to use them in that game. You do not own them as property. Nothing here is a promise that currency, items or anything else in our games will ever have real-world value.
- No real-money trading. You may not buy, sell or trade currency, items or accounts for real money or for anything outside the game, including on other websites. Trading inside a game's own market is allowed only with that game's in-game currency.
- Prices are shown before you pay. Every paid item shows its price in the store's payment window before you confirm. The store (Google Play or Apple) charges you in your local currency, including any VAT or sales tax it must collect.
- No paid luck. We do not sell random rewards (loot boxes) for real money or for currency bought with real money. If a game ever offers a random reward that can be bought, it will show the odds before you buy.
- Corrections. We may fix balances that are wrong because of a bug, a refund or chargeback, cheating or fraud. We do not take away items you paid for and received fairly, except as explained in sections 12 and 13.
7. Purchases
- Purchases in our apps are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store, under their payment terms. We never see your card details.
- Purchases are delivered right after the store confirms payment. If something you paid for does not arrive, tap "Restore purchases" in the game's shop or settings, or write to us with the store's order number and we will fix it.
- "No Ads" removes the ad breaks between levels or matches in that game, on the same store account, for as long as we offer that game (see section 13). The exact benefits are listed in the shop before you buy.
- Doodle Hunt "Send your drawing": you buy one drawing slot. Our team checks the drawing. If it is approved, it is shown in the game and on our website with your username. If it is not approved, the slot comes back and you can send a new drawing. An approved drawing can be removed later if it is reported and found to break the rules in section 9.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Your rights to cancel and get money back are explained on the Refunds page, which is part of these terms. In short: you can ask for a refund of a purchase within 14 days if you have not used it yet; purchases that did not arrive, did not work, or that a child made without permission can be refunded; and nothing in these terms reduces your rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law or the consumer law of your country.
9. Your drawings, names and messages
Who owns them
You keep the copyright in drawings and texts you create ("your content"). So that we can show them in the game, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, show, resize and share your content inside our games, on our website and in our own posts about the games (for example, showing an approved drawing in a trailer), with your username as the author. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies already published in videos or posts before then may stay, and backups are deleted on their normal schedule (within 7 days).
Rules for content
Only send content that you made yourself and that you have the right to share. Do not send content that:
- is sexual, very violent, hateful, threatening, bullying or harassing;
- shows or reveals personal information, such as a full name, address, phone number, school, a photo of a real person or a password;
- copies someone else's drawing, character, logo or brand without permission;
- advertises, spams, or tries to send players to other sites or apps;
- pretends to be another person, a moderator or us;
- breaks the law or encourages others to.
Review and removal
Drawings are checked by our team before anyone else sees them. Chat and names pass an automatic word filter. We may refuse, hide or remove any content that breaks these rules or that we reasonably think is harmful, and we tell you why when we can. Filters and reviews are not perfect. If you see something that should not be there, please report it (section 10).
10. Reporting content and complaints
You can report a drawing, a username, a message or a player with the report button in the game where there is one, or by email. If you think content copies your work or breaks the law, follow the steps on our Report content page. We look at every report and act fast on anything that could harm a child. We tell the person who reported, and where appropriate the player concerned, what we decided and how to ask us to look again.
11. Playing fair
Do not:
- cheat, or use bots, hacks, modified apps or bugs to get an advantage (please report bugs instead);
- attack or overload our servers, or try to get into them or into other players' accounts;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell our games, except where the law allows it;
- bully, threaten or scam other players, or ask them for personal information, photos, or to meet outside the game;
- create many accounts to get around a block or a limit.
12. What we do if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove content, mute chat, take back items or currency gained by cheating, or suspend or close the account. For serious harm or illegal activity we may act at once and, where the law requires it, tell the police. We explain our decision, and you can ask us to look again by writing to us. If we close an account because of a serious breach, unused paid items are not refunded, unless the law says otherwise.
13. Changing or ending a game
Games change. We add and remove levels, items and features, and we fix balance. We will not take away the main thing you paid for without telling you first.
We may stop offering a game, an online feature (for example a leaderboard, multiplayer or BananaBolt ID) or the whole studio. If we do:
- We tell players at least 60 days before an online game or service closes, inside the game where possible and on our website.
- We stop selling paid currency and items in that game as soon as we announce the closure.
- Virtual items, currency and No Ads are a licence for as long as we offer the game. They have no cash value when the game closes.
- Games that work offline (Gorilla Rush, Twistbloom and Wagon Run) will, where technically possible, keep working on your device after we stop supporting them, and No Ads keeps working there.
- Fair refunds when a game closes. You can ask us for a refund, until the closing date, of: paid currency you bought in the 90 days before we announced the closure and have not used; and No Ads for an online-only game, if you bought it in the 6 months before we announced the closure.
- Before an online service closes, you can ask us for a copy of your personal data. After it closes we delete account data, except what the law requires us to keep.
This section does not reduce any right you have under consumer protection law.
14. Ads and other companies
Free versions of our games show ads from Google. We do not control what an ad says, but you can tell us about an inappropriate ad and we will try to block it. Google, Apple and Cloudflare provide parts of the Services under their own terms.
15. Our responsibility
- We work hard to keep the games running, fair and safe, but we cannot promise they will always be available or free of bugs, or that progress can never be lost. Offline games save progress on your device: keep the app updated and use your phone's backup.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as lost profit or lost opportunity), and our total responsibility to you for all claims together is limited to the larger of: the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 Israeli shekels.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for harm we cause on purpose or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any right you have under consumer protection law, privacy law or any other law that a contract cannot limit.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when a game gets a new feature or the law changes. For important changes we tell you in the game or with a notice on this page at least 30 days before they apply, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or safety reasons. Changes do not apply to purchases made before the change. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Services and delete your account.
17. Law and disputes
- Please contact us first. Most problems can be solved by email.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
- You can bring a claim in any competent Israeli court under the normal rules, including a small claims court and the court of the place where you live.
- If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose consumer law protects you even when a foreign law is chosen, you keep those protections and can bring a claim in the courts where you live. EU consumers can also use the EU's online dispute resolution information at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
18. Other things
- If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a rule right away, we can still do so later.
- We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over a game, as long as your rights are not reduced. We will tell you if that happens.
- These terms are written in Hebrew and English with the same meaning. If they differ, the version better for you applies.
