Twistbloom Privacy Policy

Twistbloom by Banana Bolt

Effective 11 October 2026App: Twistbloom for Android and iPhone (com.petalshift.game)
The short version Twistbloom has no accounts. Your progress stays on your phone. For the star leaderboard, the game sends our own server only a random player ID, a random fun player name, your star total and how many levels you have completed. None of this identifies you. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google may collect device data such as the advertising ID to show and measure those ads. An optional purchase, handled by Google Play on Android and by Apple on iPhone, removes ads.

Who we are

Twistbloom is made by Banana Bolt, a small independent game studio in Israel ("we", "us"). The studio is owned by Daniel Nahman Levi (operating as Banana Bolt), 89 Derech Ramatayim, Hod HaSharon, Israel, who is responsible for the data described here (the "controller", or "database owner" under Israeli law). Contact: . Our general Privacy Policy applies too and explains your rights, international transfers and security in more detail. עברית (Hebrew version)

Information stored on your device

The game saves your completed levels, stars, unlocked skins, settings (sound, haptics, motion, language, reminders), your current puzzle, and whether you bought No Ads. This data is kept on your device. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the game deletes it. If device backups are turned on (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android), your phone may include the game's data in your own backup. We cannot access those backups.

Star leaderboard

The game shows a leaderboard of the players with the most stars. After the tutorial, the game offers you a player name made from a list of fun words (for example "Brave Otter 42"). You can ask for another one as often as you like, and once you choose one it stays yours. Players cannot type their own names, so no personal information appears on the leaderboard. Once you have chosen a name, the app sends our server, hosted by Banana Bolt, a random player ID created on your device, that name, your total stars and the number of levels you have completed. Nothing is sent before you choose a name. We do not combine this data with anything else, and we do not share it. The server sees your IP address while the app connects, as any internet connection does, and uses it only to limit abuse; it is not stored with your score. Your leaderboard entry is kept until you ask us to delete it (email us your player name) or the leaderboard closes.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Twistbloom shows ads provided by Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for hints or undos. To show, measure and protect ads against fraud, Google's advertising SDK may automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, or on iPhone the advertising identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking
  • IP address, which can indicate your approximate location
  • Ad interactions, such as ad views and taps, and app launch information
  • Diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the game shows Google's consent message before personalised ads are used, and you can choose non-personalised ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation at any time in your device's settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

On iPhone, the game asks Apple's "Allow tracking?" question the first time you open it. If you choose not to allow it, the advertising identifier is not shared and you still get ads, just not personalised ones. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In-app purchase (No Ads)

Twistbloom offers one optional purchase, No Ads ($4.99 USD or local equivalent), which removes ads and unlocks the Royal Aurora skin. Payments are handled entirely by the store you downloaded the game from: Google Play Billing on Android, and Apple's In-App Purchase on iPhone. The price can differ slightly between stores and countries. We never receive your name, email, or payment details. The game only checks with that store on your device whether the purchase is owned, so it can be restored after reinstalling.

Other companies involved

Only two other companies are involved, and each handles data under its own privacy policy: Google, which provides the ads (see the links above), and the store you downloaded the game from, which handles purchases. That is Google Play on Android (policies.google.com/privacy) or Apple on iPhone (apple.com/legal/privacy). We chose them because their published privacy commitments protect your data to at least the standard this policy describes. We do not share data with anyone else.

Reminder notifications

If you allow notifications, the game schedules occasional play reminders directly on your device. These are local notifications. No push service or server is involved, and you can turn them off in the game's Settings or in your phone's settings.

What we do not do

  • We do not require or offer accounts or logins.
  • We do not use our own analytics or tracking.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • The game does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or precise location.

You do not have to give us any information by law, and you can play without giving us anything. We use data only for the purposes above. Saving your game and running the leaderboard is needed to provide what you asked for (our agreement with you). Personalised ads rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the game's privacy choices or your device settings. Stopping abuse relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the game safe.

Children

Children play our games, so we are careful. We are adding an age question to the game; once it is in, players under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in their country) only get non-personalised, family-friendly ads, and we tell Google to treat them as children. Leaderboard names are made by the game, so no real names appear. Parents can ask us to see or delete their child's data at any time: email us from the parent's address.

Your rights and deleting your data

The only data we hold is your leaderboard entry, which does not identify you. To have it removed, email us your player name (shown on the leaderboard screen) and we will delete it. You can delete all other Twistbloom data by uninstalling the game (on Android you can also clear the app's storage).

To withdraw permission for personalised ads, turn off tracking for the game on iPhone (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), or reset or delete your advertising ID on Android (Settings → Google → Ads). For data collected by Google, use Google's tools at myaccount.google.com. If you would like help with any of this, email us at the address below.

You can ask us to see the data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it (Israeli Privacy Protection Law, sections 13-14; GDPR articles 15-21). We answer within 30 days, free of charge. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority (gov.il), or to your local data protection authority in the EU or UK.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and its effective date.
